4. Once you see the “Restore” button just click on it until you will be prompted to make a backup of your device. Before, you could only remove any image (music or video) from this tablet by synching this device to a computer and launch iTunes. Apple did not provide a button that you can use to remove images, songs and videos directly from this tablet. The only things you could take out from this tablet were those files you have taken using the tablet’s camera. You were also allowed to directly remove saved files from the browser. Those images in your tablet’s Photo Library album, for instance, could only be removed when you sync this gadget to the computer that you use to synch the said device via iTunes.

With the latest operating system of Apple’s tablet, you can now directly remove images from the tablet.

To remove images, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Photos app on your tablet.
  2. Tap on the Photos tab.
  3. Select the images you want to remove by tapping them.
  4. Go to the trash icon.
  5. Tap the Delete Photo button.

If you wish to remove the entire album, you just need to go to the Albums tab. Choose the Edit button. And tap on the X button that appears. The images in the album are not removed, however. To get rid of them, you need to remove them individually.

To remove songs directly from your Music app without the use of iTunes, you need iOS 5. The following are the steps you need to follow:

  1. Open the Music app on your tablet.
  2. Select any song that you wish to be removed.
  3. Tap the song and slide it sideway until a red button appears.
  4. Tap the “Delete” button to remove the selected song.

You just need to repeat steps 1-4 if you want to remove another song. Through the latest iOS, you can easily manage whatever you have on your iOS device without the need to connect your tablet to your computer and sync it via iTunes.

This tablet from Apple also allows you to play movies or TV shows directly from this device. However, if you want to get rid some of your collections to free up more rooms for the movies you want to keep, then follow the steps below.

  1. Go to Videos app.
  2. Tap and hold the movie or TV show you wish to eliminate from this device.
  3. Wait for the “Delete” button to appear

The said button shows up right next to the thumbnail of the movie or TV show you wish to eliminate.

The movie or TV show is now eliminated. This action cannot be restored, however. So make sure that the movie you have selected is the one that you really want to get rid of.

You can use these steps if you want to get rid of those movies that you have taken all by yourself using the tablet’s camera. The above mentioned procedure will also work if you want to get rid of the movies you have obtained from the Internet or rented from iTunes.

However, the above mentioned steps cannot be implemented if you are trying to remove movies that you have synched from your computer to this tablet. But do not worry. You can still get rid of them by removing them through iTunes.

Once you have removed those movies, you can still recover them by going to your iTunes library. You can simply sync your tablet to your computer to transfer those movies again. Unfortunately, rented movies can never be recovered once you have removed them from your device. So be careful when performing this process.
